OUR CAPABILITIES
The Shop Service capabilities also extend to many component fabrications and assemblies. Large vessel modifications, refurbishment, relining with welded overlay, and upgrades are a routine part of shop production. In many cases, shop production can be used to leverage the efforts of our field forces in project execution. In fact, a large portion of Shop Services is dedicated to supporting our field operations from logistics and inventory controls to equipment system production/calibration; from continuous improvement to readiness-to-serve initiatives. Excellent field execution depends on sophisticated shop services and programming.
MECHANICAL
Our Mechanical Department is located in a 18,000-square foot enclosed facility where state of the art machinery, systems and unimaginable capabilities are housed. All of our engineering and building is done in house and is meticulously handled by an expert team of seasoned engineers that produce grandiose final products around the clock, 24/7.
Our services include the assembly of projects that are fabricated and machined. The disassembly, evaluation, repair and assembly of industrial equipment such as gear reducers, valves, crushers, hammer mills and beyond. As well, as the performance of tests on assemblies as required in contract and O.E.M. specifications. In our facility, we have handling systems which include overhead cranes that manage up to 35 tons and a pressing capacity through 1,000 tons.
Our mechanical capabilities are colossal and what has been described above is only the tip of the iceberg as we offer more and house even more. In response, all of our customers are returning customers and overwhelmingly satisfied customers, as our quality of work, craftsmanship and quick-turn-around is unprecedented.
MACHINING
Our Machining Department is located in a 25,000-square foot enclosed facility where state of the art machinery, systems and unimaginable capabilities are housed. All of our engineering and machining is done in house and is meticulously handled by an expert team of seasoned engineers that produce grandiose final products around the clock, 24/7.
Our services include Precision Machining and Grinding, Production Machining, Large Capacity, Gear and Spline Machining, Portable Machining, Heat Treating Services, Metalizing Services, and Plating and Coating Services. Our department has all types of measuring instruments complete with a Surface Plate Measuring Machine to ensure consistent quality control. We have portable machine equipment that includes Boring Bars, Portable Milling and Turning Machinery, Portable Key Way Mills and Portable Pressing Equipment. Internal Grinding is available along with Cylindrical Grinding and Surface Grinding and our handling equipment includes overhead cranes that handle up to 20 tons. Mid-State also houses the two largest vertical boring mills in the Southeast, which offer a 14 foot and a 16 foot table.
